4. Orders and Acceptance
A contract between Area Cladding Ltd and the customer shall only come into existence once:
A written quotation has been accepted by the customer;
Any required deposit has been received; and
Written confirmation of acceptance has been issued by Area Cladding Ltd.
Any changes requested after acceptance may result in revised costs and installation timescales.
5. Deposits and Payments
A deposit may be required before materials are ordered or work commences.
Payment terms will be outlined within the quotation or contract documentation.
Unless otherwise agreed:
Deposits are payable upon acceptance.
Interim payments may be requested for larger projects.
Final payment is due immediately upon practical completion of the works.
Late payments may incur interest in accordance with applicable legislation.
6. Installation and Access
Customers agree to provide reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours.
Area Cladding Ltd shall not be responsible for delays arising from:
Severe weather conditions;
Supplier shortages;
Restricted site access;
Events beyond our reasonable control;
Customer-requested variations.
Estimated installation dates are provided in good faith but cannot be guaranteed.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
Obtaining any necessary planning permissions where applicable.
Ensuring neighbouring access permissions are obtained if required.
Removing valuable items from work areas.
Informing us of hidden services, cables or pipework that may affect installation.
8. Guarantees
Area Cladding Ltd offers workmanship guarantees subject to the terms stated within the customer's contract.
Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the respective manufacturer's terms and conditions.
Guarantees may become void if:
Products are altered by third parties;
Damage occurs through misuse, neglect or accidental impact;
Repairs are undertaken by unauthorised persons.
Normal wear and tear is excluded.
9. Cancellations
Customers purchasing services at their home may have cancellation rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Where cancellation rights apply, customers may cancel within the statutory cooling-off period.
If materials have been specially ordered or work has commenced at the customer's request, reasonable costs may be deducted from any refund due.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud or any liability which cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to this, Area Cladding Ltd shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses;
Loss of profit or business interruption;
Delays caused by circumstances outside our control.
Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the contract under which the claim arises.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, graphics, logos, photographs and designs, remains the property of Area Cladding Ltd unless otherwise stated.
